The Miss Emerald Ridge committee began in 2017 with the purpose of providing young women the opportunity to earn scholarship money for higher education. Miss Emerald Ridge is a local preliminary to Miss North Carolina, Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen,Miss America, and Miss America's Outstanding Teen.  We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Miss Emerald Ridge Scholarship Program is open to young ladies who live in, attend school, or work in the ten (10) counties of Ashe, Avery, Burke, Caldwell, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes,and Yancey. The Outstanding Teen Program is open to all teens across the state of North Carolina. The 2019 competition dates will be announced soon.
